I’ve been walking these local woodlands for years and heard stories of Nymphs and fairies. I never really beleived them though until I came across this information sign* that had been erected at the meadow

Woodland Nymph Information Sign*

That really caught my attention and I decided there and then to camp out in the forest until I managed to find one of these elusive little creatures. It was well worth the wait because before too long I saw a little movement in the grass right in the middle of the meadow and there before my eyes appeared a beautiful little Nymph*  funnily enough, dressed as a hippy.

I had to wait several minutes before she came into full view and as I kept very quiet she started to stretch and dance (well I guess that’s what they do)

She came out just as the sun was setting and luckily I had brought a Damian McGillicuddy 36″ multi modifier to balance the light with a little off camera flash, and a make up artist just in case lol.

Working fast metering the ever changing light and adjusting the flash to counter the setting sun I managed to fire off several frames before the beautiful Nymph danced off into the woodland.
